WHAT MAKES SHEPOWER UNIQUE
ShePOWER Leadership Academy is designed to expand the number of female civic and business leaders, redefining the vision of leadership. Leadership to include doing well at school, to do more good in the community and excel in her personal life while owning her personal power. The Academy enroll individuals who are ready to grow and engage in preparation for leadership. By design, the Academy’s leadership and personal development based programs focus on rigorous reflection and thoughtful development around worth, civic leadership agility and business leadership interaction. It is rooted in working on the individual as a unique leader.
It is the mission of ShePower Leadership Academy to produce a Power Circle of female civic and business leaders deriving from socially and economically disadvantaged circumstances, to foster intellectual leadership, be inclusive, broaden awareness, build key relationships, and to understand her passion and purpose early in life.
We do this through personal development, mentorship and diverse leadership opportunities.
ShePOWER Leadership Academy expands the number of girl leaders who excel in academics and engage in service in their communities. Our work reshapes the future landscape of leadership and broadens awareness of female public leadership beyond the borders of commonly tapped leadership circles in school and in the community.
By design, ShePower Academy creates a rich and authentic development experience for girls. It includes up-close and personal engagement with some of the most visible leaders. Our girls gain a sharper focus on understanding their own leadership style and strengths to enable them to create a clearer strategy on adding more value in her school culture, a deeper commitment to civic and business leadership and owning her personal power.
ShePower Research & Innovation approach focuses on empowering young women through targeted research and inclusive innovations. It involves conducting gender-specific studies, creating women-centric products and services, using technology to enhance women's opportunities, advocating for supportive policies, building women's capacities in research and innovation fields, fostering collaborations, and increasing the visibility of women's contributions in these areas. The overarching goal is to promote gender equality and ensure women have equitable chances to succeed as innovators and leaders.

FOUNDER - Who is Dr. Arleana Waller
Dr. Arleana Waller is an award-winning distinguished leader and advocate for social change, particularly recognized for her contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is the visionary founder of ShePower Leadership Academy, an organization dedicated to empowering women and girls by fostering leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit. Dr. Waller's passion for community upliftment is also evident in her role in founding Circle of Life Development Foundation (COLDf) dba MLKcommUNITY Initiative, where she works to close economic gaps and support underrepresented communities through strategic development initiatives.
Furthering her commitment to education, Dr. Waller is the founder and lead in the establishment of a public charter school, Frink School, (Willie J Frink College Prep), which aims to provide an inclusive educational environment that addresses disparities and promotes equal opportunities for scholar leaders.
